We invest, through equity commitments, as a sole investor, or co investing with other family offices.
We invest primarily in Real Estate and Private Equity. As a main investor in Real Estate projects in Portugal and in Poland, we develop mainly Residential and occasionally mixed use and office projects. As a private equity investor, we are usually significant minority investors with Board Seats. We have been present in various sectors in Iberia.
We have an excellent and longstanding relationship with several Banks and other institutional investors. Mello RDC has a fast and discrete investment decision process, combining long term structural investments with other more opportunistic plays.
Real Estate
As a main investor in Real Estate projects in Portugal (Lisbon and Comporta) and in Poland (Krakow and Poznan). We develop mainly Residential and occasionally mixed use and office projects. In Real Estate we try to look for a different investment angle, to add value to our investments. Our motto is “To do what others do there are others” so we look at different opportunities, namely distressed assets, off market properties, zoning conversions. Using our own capital allows us to invest in assets that institutional investors or investment clubs would have more difficulty in buying, this approach has given us above market returns for the last 20 years.
Private Equity
As a private equity investor, we are usually significant minority investors with a Board Seats. We have been present in various sectors in Iberia. Our current investments are in the Agri Business and processing of Olive Oil and other edible oils, in Solar Energy and in the Companies which have exposure to Tourism, and Mobility.
